a box of Black Crows.
There was something about that perfect blend
of bitter and sweet that attracted me,
even as a young boy. This morning there were
three black crows pecking away on the road ahead of me

They flew away, cawing, as I got near
and then they’d land on the road again, a bit further on.

into the morning mist that shrouds

Thankfully I do not freak out at all, in fact I had black snakes and garter snakes as pets at my house and learned to handle them and actually love them a lot-I even raised baby crows and I was taught by a game warden to take out of the nest at the right time and brought them home where they lived Until they were mature adults and I release them after them growing upin a 4′ x 4′ x 8′ outdoor screened enclosure which I built. Maybe I need to write some sort of a poem about all this. Glad to know you’re back from Haiti and as you it was not easy but you did your best-I know it was a challenge. Welcome back!
